This July

we will be welcoming a new baby girl to our family.
We had pink sugar cookies, pink balloons and pink succors to celebrate the exciting news.
Chamberlain has already thought of a name for her,
Baby Peach. I think he is playing too much MarioKart.

march madness

Does your fridge look like this?
We have March Madness! This is one of our family traditions and this year it was fun to have Chamberlain pick his own bracket. He has
BYU not only making it to the championship game vs California (of course this is where his grandma lives), but winning the whole thing! Josh and I picked the Cougs to make it at least to the Elite Eight if not the final four.
Which if the Y makes it past their first game (in just a few minutes) against the Florida Gators they do have a pretty awesome chance of getting there.

meet the neighbors.

Today we decided to walk over and meet our new neighbors, with Grandma.

They are quite charming. We wouldn't mind keeping one at our house!

In total there are about 13 puppies that we could count and two nervous mommas. About 6 are pure bred Weimaraners and the other 6 are bred with. . . well i don't remember the name but its a chocolate dog similar to a lab.

I think we will be visiting more often now that the weather is warm.

i just want to remember

you sleeping in, skipping class and going out for your favorite breakfast, all you can eat french toast.

a successful family picture complete with empty plates!

Chamberlain just cant get enough of the birthday boy. And spending the rest of the morning looking a flat-screens, and no birthday, can be complete without a quick stop at the Honda chop shop. Soon it was off to work for you.

However, your day wasn't whole without a dinner date (in the car). Chamberlain and I surprised you with your favorite BBQ chicken bacon n' Ranch pizza. Which looks kinds scary in the picture but its really quite tasty.

Dinner is never complete without dessert. We just happened to make your favorite peanut butter cookies. We brought enough for you to share with the everyone in office. Although we forgot the ice cold milk.

Today was a great day.
Life for us is Good!

Another year older & wiser too.

more morphine please.

This is my little brother Tanner in the waiting room. Happy fella.

All smiles just before he goes in for a scope on his knee.

This is the outcome of the knee 30 or so minutes later.

This is Tanner on drugs. Out cold! My dear Josh at his side.

This is Tanner insisting he needed his phone so he could text his peeps. This is him falling asleep in the middle of texting his peeps.

These are the "better" cards on the door that Chamberlain and Hudson made for Tanner during the long 8 hour day that they waited for him to come home.

A few things we want to remember about this day.

{These stories are purely for us. They are long and grammatically incorrect. That's fine with me.}

This guy is funny on drugs. For the hour after the scope we were very entertained. So much so in fact I had tears running down my cheeks for most of the hour. At one point I turned to Josh and said to him, too bad my mom isnt here (which she and my dad are were celebrating their 30th anniversary in Vegas) she would be dying-as in laughing. Tanner sits up as fast as he could wide eyed and says "moms dying". Which I then spent the next few minutes trying to explain that our mother is not dying and that I meant she would be laughing like crazy if she were there. He really never grasped that concept and kept asking " mom's dying."
When Tanner would doze off, he would start singing and kind of loud. also he would raise one hand in air. At one point he turned to us and asked "do you guys like country music?" I yes, Josh no, Tanner then rolls over and says "Country Music is great, its changed my life." What! At this point I whip out my phone and start recording bits and pieces of this hilarious afternoon. I started to ask him questions. One question I asked was what has "country music" done for your life? He than responds "what country?" I follow up with no country music. He responds with "Oh, I like country music."
Then there was the coke episode. The nurse said we have something for you to drink you can chose from coke, diet coke, sprite, (pretty much any soda you can think of) water, and Juice. Cutting her off Tanner requests coke, coke, coke, coke, coke. The nurse leaves. A few minutes later he turns to me saying "Man Im so hungry and thirsty, I want some juice" I respond, Tanner, the nurse is bringing you coke like you asked. Tanner: "Oh, I like coke thats good." The nurse brings the coke. I had to help him drink it because apparently his arms we numb as well. I asked Tanner, would you like a sip of coke? He responds, "Yes, takes a sip and says wow, that is not Juice." Josh and I laughing, you are right Tanner thats Coke. A few minutes later I again, ask him if he would like another sip of Coke, and we repeat what happened all over again. This scenario happened until the coke was gone.
Josh's story. During this recovery period Josh decided it would be the perfect time to study his anatomy stuff. I thought that was great since all we were doing was sitting bedside. This story goes like this. Tanner turns to Josh, "what are you studying." Josh: "Anatomy". Tanner: "Oh, I heard that UVSC has the hardest Anatomy Class." Josh: "Well I go to BYU, so I wouldst know. But regardless its pretty hard." Tanner: With a confused look on his face "you go to BYU? I didnt know that." Josh has been at BYU our whole married lives so like 5 years. Tanner: "Josh, what are you studying?" Josh: "Anatomy" Tanner: "oh I hear that's a hard class." Josh: "Yes it is. In fact I took a struggling test today." Tanner: "whats a struggling test." For the rest of the time Josh had his books out Tanner would look over and ask him what he was studying and then say some random funny comment.

These are just a few of the stories that I can remember at the moment. All in all, the scope went well they removed a huge chunk Id say about 2 1/2 inches long from the meniscus, and kindly set it in a cup above the bed where he lay. I could hardly stand to be in the same area as that piece of tendon. Josh turned the cup around so all I could see was the label.
And Tanner took the cup home as a trophy!

A note to self:
Next time Tanner is on Morphine remember to bring a video camera for the recover period. That boy said some funny things. I haven't laughed that hard in a while.
