too many pictures of our costumes for our ward Halloween party

We (just like every ward across the country) had our ward Halloween Party this weekend.
Chamberlain has been planning his Halloween costume for months well at least since September.
Siri really hasn't caught on to the costume part but she has defiantly got the treat part down!
As for Mr. Harrison he is just happy to be held no matter what we are doing.
So about an hour or so before our ward party was to start Chamberlain asked; what are you going to be Mom (parents) for Halloween.  I tried to convince him I was going as his mom but he did not want that. Chamberlain insisted that I go as a princess and that dad as my knight.  How sweet on his part. That for sure was not going to happen and I realized that he was not going to let us go with dressing up and that this was important to him.
So Josh and I with an hour to figure something out and get the kids ready we came up with something...
I went as an overwhelmed crazy mom and Josh went as Dwight Schrute, although surprisingly people had no clue who Dwight Schrute is.

Oh and Miss Siri I must mention the 45 minute tantrum/melt down that you had before we left. All because I would not let you paint your own face with my acrylic paint. I painted chamberlains face with the Batman symbol since there are no masks allowed in the church and you insisted we paint your face next. You patiently picked out your favorite paints, hot pink, hot turquoise, purple, and yellow.  You pick out a brush and were so excited for me to paint your face until I painted the first mark and then you realized...you wanted to paint your own face.  I tried to get water colors for you to paint while I worked on your face paint but nothing would suffice, and I was NOT going to let you use acrylic paint with no clothing protection. So you threw yourself on the ground and cried hot steamy tears and thought we were the WORST parents ever! But you quickly changed your mind when the neighbor kids came over to show off their costumes.

Happy Halloween 2012
Chamberlain Batman was not camera shy...As for Siri I couldn't get her to stop twirling to take a non blury picture.
Its safe to know as a mother that my house is protected with a dangerous Batman.
 Our paint production.

 My handsome Hottie Dwight

 Crazy mom look.

Mr. Harrison ended up being my lap puppy all night at the party.   He slept soundly while they played the monster mash and all sorts of loud crazy music with crazy loud kids and adults.
My favorite part of the night was that people didnt know how to approach me in the ward. I think they just thought I had smeared my lipstick and did not realize it was supposed to be this way...maybe I need to rethink about getting ready everyday.

Harrisons 1st hair cut

Harrison,
You are just a few days shy of 4 months old and we have already had to give you a fresh buzz cut.
You had hair so long on the sides and the back that I could curl it around my finger. The funny thing is you had the old man hair style going on, where you didn't have any on top and within the last 2 weeks or so you finally grew some hair on the top!

Dad along with Grandma Chamberlain kept hinting that I needed to cut your hair.
I did not want to.
I wanted to grow it out till your first birthday like I did with Chamberlain and Siri although I have yet to cut Siri's hair.
So on a Saturday morning we decided to go for it and buzz those locks.
You were the best client I could have asked for.
You never complained once!
Our only before picture I forgot to take an actual before but this will do.
You can see his hair on the sides a little bit.
You can see how long some of his hair actually was.
No more hair over them ears!

 Proud little boy!

Staheli Farm

I am impressed with Staheli Farms.
For being a beef farm they sure do offer a lot of fun things for kids and families to do.  I really love determined people (maybe because of my up bringing working in a cave!). Its one thing to be a Thanksgiving Point and offer every activity for every holiday and each event is always bigger than the next. Sure its fun to visit but there is something to say for the mom and pop farms (can I use the mom &pop term for a farm) that are always pushing their limits to offer more family fun and adventure. I really think its neat what they have going and I hope great things for their future. I appreciate their hard work and enjoyed our time spent there.
The kids weren't disappointed either.
Chamberlain could have played all day on their "white-trash trampoline",
and Miss Siri loved the duck races with her friend Trey, as for Harrison he fell fast asleep in my arms as we walked from attraction to attraction.
I think my favorite part was wearing flip flops and shorts! It just felt so funny to be at a pumpkin patch in summer clothes...well it was a balmy 78*.

Chamberlain, you loved the corn slide. Siri, you did not.
Chamberlain, you new exactly which pumpkin you wanted and went straight for it.
Siri, you weren't quite sure which pumpkin you wanted and had to try several out before settling on several more.

Our first fall break

Fall Break went by so fast.
I can see why everyone takes a trip to Disneyland to make the most of the break.
It was Chamberlain's first official fall break and we didn't let time go to waste.
We kicked off the break by meeting some friends at
Staheli Farms picking pumpkins (in flip flops I might add!),
worked on some projects around the house, had movie night with the neighbors complete with Cracker Jack popcorn and Marshmallow popcorn, ate BBQ-ed pizza on the tramp with the neighbors, Chamberlain went swimming,  went to our favorite park, ate at our favorite Pizza and Noodle place, took a drive to see the fall leaves, and painted Gourds to look like pumpkins at Grandmas house.
By Monday I felt like I needed to take another break from our fall break.
We were constantly on the go.

Miss Siri

Miss Siri,
I love your crazy spunky style.
You are the talkative one in the family. You are constantly rambling on about something and so far I understand the majority of what you are saying. I'm just waiting for the day when I realize we are talking to each other in full sentences and having quite the lovely conversations.
If you aren't talking you are singing. Most likely you are singing Happy Birthday to You over and over again, or sometimes you'll just make up a song and sing words that you know.
I like to ask you if you are Happy and you reply with Siri Happy and you throw your hands in the air and smile really big.  You then proceed to tell me about each individual you know by telling me their name and that they are happy too. I love it.
Your favorite thing currently is to play in our big bath tub.
You love water. I find you often sitting in my sink with the water on just splashing away.
Your favorite is when I turn on the bath and fill it with an inch or so of water and let you play in it with whatever outfit you have on, while I get ready for the day and you splash around the entire time singing.

Its hard to tell in the photos below but you do have your pink and turquoise tutu on underneath that dress!
I love you our little blonde baby.
