  More sharks

We just happened across a canoe.
We loved the penguins, they swim so fast.

How do you measure up?

We saw a lazy alligator.

                        A Turtle.
Bruce from Finding Nemo.

A wall of fish.

Crazy displays.

A very happy family.

buzzzzed.

Summer is officially here at our house.
Nothing says summer more, than a fresh buzz.

saying goodbye

(Chamberlain and Hudson the final goodbye)
Now that my eyes have somewhat dried out.
My sister and her family moved.
This week has gone by so fast since the better part of it has been spent packing and helping with their move.  When the day finally came (yesterday) and we walked up the driveway to load up the moving van, it really hit me.
I started to cry, and just kept crying and crying.
I realize that we are actually "growing up."
Who knows when/if we will live in the same town again.
However, I am excited for them.
I cant wait to visit them in the valley of the sun this winter!
(Minutes before they drove into the sun)
Once they pulled out of the Claybaughs neighborhood, Chamberlain asked me, where they were going.  I told him.
Chamberlain cried and cried and cried.
I think it really hit him that Huddy Buddy was not going home.
Today has been sort of surreal day.

here comes the sun

or more like, where is the sun!
It snowed today.
 When it snows, it pours.
Chamberlain had his first Dentist visit today.
Good thing: he did super and was very polite.
Bad thing: turns out he has hit his two front teeth before,
(when, I don't know)
and they broke off at the root, thus leading to possible
(most likely)
infection especially with the chip.
Otherwise meaning they are going to have to be extracted!
That's right my 3 year old is not going to have his two front teeth.
There might be a slight chance of him getting two fake teeth to replace the the space till the permanent ones come in, if the bone heals correctly.
Aside from the front teeth info, the teeth that are coming in (his permanent teeth) are ginormous and two teeth will take up the space of 4. Eventually he will have to have 6 teeth pulled so that 4 can grow in their place.
Wonderful thing: The sun did come out at the end of the day, today, and melted most of the snow away.

not my week.

1. First there was Chamberlain's 'Swan Dive" onto his bed with part of a soccer goal pipe in his mouth. Bloody mess.  Did I mention that I'm not good with blood or injuries or anything that has to do with the body.

2. Josh and I thought we would take Hudson to the park with us while Shelbie and Tim did some packing for the move.  We took Hudson's wiggle car and Chamberlain took his scooter, so they could ride down this long hill at the park.  On Hudson's first run his car starts to venture right and he hit the curb/grass and flew like a rag doll about 6 or so feet to the left.  Bloody mess! I was grateful Josh was there this time to deal with the immediate blood shed.

3.   Sunday.  Dinner at the Claybaugh's.  Josh is at work and I am chatting it up with all the ladies in the front room,  all of the kids are outside playing, when a crying little boy comes inside.  Which happens to be mine.  I notice that there is white flaky things on his lower lip as well as hanging on his tooth.  Turns out Chamberlain was on a scooter and hit a bump and apparently landed tooth first. Ouch! So we now have a chipped tooth to go along with the gash on the roof of his mouth.  No blood, but still just as sicking to me.   I wonder whats in store for next week!

camp out.

Chamberlain went to a "camp out" birthday party this week.  I thought it was clever. They pitched a tent, roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and played camp out games, all within one hour and a half.  Such a fun idea, that I want to remember it for future birthdays.

He didn't go home empty handed.  He made a campfire treat, and got his first, very own, flash light.  Which he has gone to bed with every night.
Thank You Seth W.
Happy Birthday.

open wide.

This is why mothers and fathers tell there little ones to not run or play with things in their mouths.

For fear of something like this happening.
(not pictured the tongue and underneath the tongue battle wounds)
Ouch!
We are grateful it wasn't worse.

this guy

brought carrot cake to work today per request of his boss.
Had to wear business casual as opposed to street wear.

These guys got to ride the scooter to work today.
Apparently glass cake pans are not scooter friendly.

Things of note today.
1. All day Chamberlain kept asking me if he could stay up late.
2. Josh got to work and realized that he never got the message that business causal was canceled.
3. As I was putting Chamberlain down for bed around 9pm just as we were about to read scriptures, he landed on his belly, mouth first, with part of a soccer goal in his mouth.  Which punctured through the roof of his mouth and was a bloody mess.  I almost passed out!  Josh was on speaker phone and immediately came home from work knowing that I cant handle blood. Before he left the office he called Uncle Tim to come help us. Which he did and were grateful for since I could NOT look in his mouth to see the damage.  There is not much you can do for the roof of your mouth it turns out. Lucky for Chamberlain he got to stay up late and once the pain went away got to play a few rounds of Mariokart.  Sorry there are no pictures because I cant handle gross bloody things.
4. I love . . . this guy!

best friends

These boys played on this rock for a good while.
Oh to be young again and to be entertained by a single boulder.

Show me your pirate faces!

These two are going to be sad when they can't play with each other every day.  We are going to miss them when they are gone.

all in a days work.

Tuesday morning we woke up to snowflakes falling, yuck!  Grandpa at breakfast suggested he take the day off and we all go to the Dinosaur Museum as well as the Wildlife museum in St.George and spend the day over there.  Growing up my dad rarely closed the cave. We had our day of rest on Sunday which we always closed, but Easter through Labor Day, he was open 6 days a week.  There are few times in my life that I remember him closing like Chamberlains birth and the birth of Hudson and baby Lex, and I'm sure there were some other days in there that I can't quite recall.  So when he proposed this idea to Shelbie and I we looked at each other with surprise and said SOUNDS GREAT!
The beginning of our outing.
This is Dio the dinosaur which the boys totally loved.
I guess growing up with a musuem you learn to appreciate great displays.  These were Awesome displays of tracks.
This I think was one of Chamberlain's favorite rock.  Mudcracks petrified in time. However
I think he thought it resembled a spiderweb most. I also like that you can see my round belly in the corner of the shot (2 months to go, we so cant wait to meet her), as well as Chamberlain and I are both wearing stripes.
This place has the coolest tracks.  What you cant see on this slab are lots of tail drags which are rare since Dino's walked with their tails up off the ground.  We just so happen to have a tail drag at the cave. Oh and the tour guide was super nice and let both the boys have flash lights to help her point out points of interest.
The boys were great the entire time we were there, which at some points may have been a little boring for those under the age of 30.   And just as he did when Shelbie and I were young Grandpa got them a souvenir for being so great.
They couldn't wait to play with there dino's and set up shop right in the museum.
Across the street we saw an awesome rock climbing park and thought the boys might like to play outside for a while.

Hudson need a little help.

Such a cool park on such a nice day.
It looks like it was cold but it was nice and a little on the windy side.
Loving the time with the Grandparents

One last game of tag before we get back in the car.

Change of plans instead of going to the wildlife museum Grandpa suggested that we go to
Jumping Jacks instead.   Good choice on that one grandpa!

And of course our day wouldnt be complete without Mexican food.  So off the beaten path we went.
My parents found this little Mexican/Argentinian restaurant in Hurricane with some friends.  Las Lupitas, it was pretty tasty.   I think my dad likes it because of there empinadas which remind him of what he at on his mission in Argentina.
I also like this picture because of my dads expression on his face.  He is such a kid sometimes.
Now that I think about it this is the first time I have realized that my parents are actually "Grandparents".   Growing up we always did days like this with my grandparents and it finally dawned on me that my parents are building those same memories with my children, doing the same things that my grandparents did with me.
So Cool!

Mothers Day.

(this picture looks exactly like Josh when he was little minus the brown eyes)
Shelbie and I decided last minute (with the help of my dad) to surprise our mom for mothers day.
After Chamberlain's soccer game on Saturday we loaded up all the boys and headed south to the warm sun of St. George and completely surprised her.
She literally had no idea.
We surprised her while she was shopping and you could hear her giggle echo throughout the entire store.
I think she was happy to see us.
Shelbie and I also made our mother a gift. Which of course I didn't take any pictures of, but i still want to remember.  Our mother is the Queen of baths.  She always treats herself to a nice hot bath in her jetted tub.  So we decided the perfect gift would be to make her some homemade baths salts.   We found an over sized Ball jar and made our own yummy bath salt.  The flavor we ended up using was Grapefruit Mint and it smelled so good.
