all in a days work.

Tuesday morning we woke up to snowflakes falling, yuck!  Grandpa at breakfast suggested he take the day off and we all go to the Dinosaur Museum as well as the Wildlife museum in St.George and spend the day over there.  Growing up my dad rarely closed the cave. We had our day of rest on Sunday which we always closed, but Easter through Labor Day, he was open 6 days a week.  There are few times in my life that I remember him closing like Chamberlains birth and the birth of Hudson and baby Lex, and I'm sure there were some other days in there that I can't quite recall.  So when he proposed this idea to Shelbie and I we looked at each other with surprise and said SOUNDS GREAT!
The beginning of our outing.
This is Dio the dinosaur which the boys totally loved.
I guess growing up with a musuem you learn to appreciate great displays.  These were Awesome displays of tracks.
This I think was one of Chamberlain's favorite rock.  Mudcracks petrified in time. However
I think he thought it resembled a spiderweb most. I also like that you can see my round belly in the corner of the shot (2 months to go, we so cant wait to meet her), as well as Chamberlain and I are both wearing stripes.
This place has the coolest tracks.  What you cant see on this slab are lots of tail drags which are rare since Dino's walked with their tails up off the ground.  We just so happen to have a tail drag at the cave. Oh and the tour guide was super nice and let both the boys have flash lights to help her point out points of interest.
The boys were great the entire time we were there, which at some points may have been a little boring for those under the age of 30.   And just as he did when Shelbie and I were young Grandpa got them a souvenir for being so great.
They couldn't wait to play with there dino's and set up shop right in the museum.
Across the street we saw an awesome rock climbing park and thought the boys might like to play outside for a while.

Hudson need a little help.

Such a cool park on such a nice day.
It looks like it was cold but it was nice and a little on the windy side.
Loving the time with the Grandparents

One last game of tag before we get back in the car.

Change of plans instead of going to the wildlife museum Grandpa suggested that we go to
Jumping Jacks instead.   Good choice on that one grandpa!

And of course our day wouldnt be complete without Mexican food.  So off the beaten path we went.
My parents found this little Mexican/Argentinian restaurant in Hurricane with some friends.  Las Lupitas, it was pretty tasty.   I think my dad likes it because of there empinadas which remind him of what he at on his mission in Argentina.
I also like this picture because of my dads expression on his face.  He is such a kid sometimes.
Now that I think about it this is the first time I have realized that my parents are actually "Grandparents".   Growing up we always did days like this with my grandparents and it finally dawned on me that my parents are building those same memories with my children, doing the same things that my grandparents did with me.
So Cool!
