the weekend.

We went to Bountiful for the weekend to celebrate Kelli Jo's Birthday.
The word I would use to describe this weekend would be,
FUN!
That's all we did was just hang out with Chris Lesa and the girls and have fun.
Uncle Dave is here for the summer and that added for even more fun!

sleep, sleep, sleep

We had a miracle this week.
On Tuesday to be exact.
Chamberlain took a nap!
Not just a cat nap either.
A 3 hour plus - nap.
I was in heaven.
The last time he took a nap was in October!
I didn't know what to do with myself so,
I just sat and stared at my beautiful sleeping boy, and soaked
up the quiet bliss.
What a treat for the week.

I can't believe its been 5 years since this day, pictured below.

Where has the time gone, it literally has just flown by!

I have enjoyed every minute of it though. 

This year I am starting a new tradition. 

Josh and I don't have very many pictures of just the two of us.

So every year on this date I am going to have a snap shot taken of us.

I think it will be fun to document the change each year. 

This year our photographer is Chamberlain.

He happily took photos of us on our old ugly blue leather couch, 

before Josh had to go to work.

Things of note:

I am due exactly 1 month from today,

Hence the plump face/arms/cheeks/etc...

We are so excited for this baby girl to get here!

Boy we sure have aged in 5 years, I 

can't wait to see what we look like in another 5!

monkey business.

We have a monkey who swings in the tree in front of our house.

strawberry days

This is how Chamberlain and Gunnar were, pretty much the whole parade.

In fact if Chamberlain would get an otter pop or piece of candy he would also make sure to get one for Gunnar.  

They were great together and it was nice to chat with Whitney and baby Jett.

Until the end of the 2 hour parade, when candy came into play. 

Then it was fisticuffs over a lollie pop.
Once we had gone home and I asked if he had a good day, Chamberlain responded with; Yes! I played with my best friend Gunnar at the parade.
Good times. 

fathers.

This is my father.

This is my husband.

Both I would like to wish a very happy Fathers Day.

Both, are extraordinary Father's, and I am very grateful.

I love you both.

bubbles

Grandpa Lex 

was in town for meetings, and as always, came bearing gifts for Chamberlain.

A tower of bubbles, was his prize.

We spent a good 3 hours blowing bubbles on the front step.

Nothing beats lazy summer afternoons.
