dinner and the museum

One of our many family goals for 2011
is to have a family date night, once or twice a month.
This is where we actually go on a date with the entire family
like dinner and a movie.
Or in last Saturdays case
we went to the Carl Bloch exhibit at the BYU museum and then Tuchanos for dinner.  We also had some extra guests on our date. Truett, Kelsi and Grandma and Grandpa.
If you are in the Provo area I would HIGHLY recommend seeing the exhibit and renting the ipad to walk you along your tour, its only 3 bones for the ipad and the tickets are free,  well worth it.
The paintings were amazing, so much detail.  I believe Carl Bloch was inspired to paint these.  I can see why churches all over especially our church uses his works.
Even Chamberlain enjoyed going from painting to painting.
We let him have an ipad and he went from painting to painting and had a smile on his face the entire time.  It was also neat to see Siri's reaction when we held her up to the pictures of Christ.

It was a fun family event.

After we headed straight to dinner.
This was the only picture I got.
I wish I had more especially of their newest and cutest waiter... Tanner.
Yes, my little brother is a waiter and he is great at it!
So. When you go to Tuchanos, as I know you will, request his section.
I promise you wont be let down.

By the way, this is Chamberlains FAVORTIE place to eat,
Hands down.
He is such a meat eater.
He ate more than everyone except Truett (who is a bottomless pit when it comes to food).
No joke he really did.
He even liked the chicken heart, in which he had 4.
I think his most favorite was anything that came to our table wrapped in bacon.
This was our first family date of 2011 and I think it went well.

We miss the Burgesses! Hotels, dinners, and museums are nice too.
