Ms. Siri and her slide.

If she cant be in the water then she would like to be on her slide.
We were lucky enough to inherit this great little jungle gym/play place.
Since she has been mobile and outside she heads straight to the slide.
Maybe she is attracted to the bright red-who knows.
But she loves to climb up and slide down.
Here she goes.
She made it. It takes a couple tries but she eventually gets there.
Chamberlain on the other hand uses it as a look out and observation deck.

mad hatter.

Chamberlain can be so creative. Like the other day he made this crown for Ms. Siri.
I think these pictures are pretty self explanatory. I just want to remember that Chamberlain was so proud of his crown/hat he made. Siri was happy to play along. I love days like this that are full of creativity and play.
Side note; Sometimes I do fall victim to Sonic's happy hour. I crave those Coconut Dr. Peppers. Delish.

Love these two!

funny thing.

I really dont know what I was thinking, about the not so great pictures I took while Ben and Cooper were here. I think maybe I just wanted to visit and not snap photos. The only picture I have of Ben and cooper is these two below and they aren't even really in the pictures just happened to be in the background of saying goodbye to Sandi and Ken.

However, we did this day take family pictures and even though they will be outdated in a few weeks, Its still neat that we had the chance to take them.

A big sleep over

at the Clayton Cabin.
I see why Sandi loves it so much.
I find myself thinking of the cabin and the river and I just want to go back.
Last year I took WAY too many pictures, this year I took like next to none.
And the pictures I did take I'm not sure what I was thinking.
However, it was fun to have a sleep over in the ping pong room with Nolan, Oliver, Cooper, Ben, Dave, Siri and Josh. Falling asleep to the sound of the river was quite romantic...if only we didn't have so many people in the room...wink, wink.
 Everyone's beds.
Ours is at the very end with the red blanket next to the pack n play.
Doesn't that have romantic written all over it.
 The view is amazing.
Did I mention those are just screens not actual windows.

You can see the river which was raging. Its usally like 4 inches deep.
This year you could get swept away.
And the for my final picture, I took of this chair which I love.
Its old and sturdy and has character, and looks like its been painted a million colors. If only Siri would turn around and flash that smile.

It was nice just to relax and play what we call Cowboy Golf, but if you ask Nolan it makes more sense to call it Ladder Ball, and if you are talking to Dave...well we won't mention what he calls this game.
Grandam Clayton's Chocolate Chip cookies were highly sought after,  we also had the tasty smores and I loved hearing all the siblings reminiscing of the past. It was the first time the Ken and Sandi Burgess family has been together in 6 years. Yep, since Josh and I tied the knot. It was about time. I loved getting to know the east coast Burgess's. What a treat to have them here for 2 weeks.
We cant wait to venture out to State College.

Ps. If anyone wants to share their photos from the week that would be much appreciated. Im sad I dont have any of the family.
Thanks Ash

11 months

While we were away Ms. Siri turned 11 months.
I am not ready for her to be a year just yet.
To me she is still my little baby.
I think because she is small, well normal size, I feel that she is much younger than she really is. Looking back Chamberlain was already in 24 months to 2T at his 1st Birthday. Siri dear can wear most things from 9 months to 12 months.

We also had two first on the day she turned 11 months.
We FINALLY made it to the Kanab City Pool (thank you Grandpa Lex), to swim and visit with one of my all time favorite Young Women's Leader, whom I think of often, the lovely, Mrs. Carol Gilberg. And 2nd I put Siri's hair in pigtails.
So cute this Siri girl is.
She is so full of life and loves to laugh.
She is a tough cookie when she wants to be, but if Chamberlain or anyone else for that matter, rubs her wrong she will let you know.
Quite dramatic when that happens. I need to remember to film it, she could win an Oscar.
She talks and talks and talks and can say Mom, Dad, Hi and Uh-oh.
She is a full fledged walker and loving this new found freedom.
If I turn my back for one minute I bet I can find her in Chamberlains room in the corner climbing on his red and white striped rocking chair. Every chance she gets she head's straight to his room.
She loves playing outside on her slide and is constantly climbing up the slide giving me a heart attack.
Did I mention she LOVES the water.
She loves it and if I let her she would dive in head first.
We love you Ms. Siri. You make us happy each and everyday.
I could not imagine life without you.
You are our Sunshine.

tow mater

On the way down south for the fourth we passed this awesome look-a-like Mater in Gunnison, parked outside the movie theater. Siri was sleeping so I told myself if its there on the way back I will stop for Chamberlain. He would love it. We had just seen Cars 2 a few days before so we have been in Cars mode. We also saw the movie again with Grandpa Lex and Hudson. Score! Siri had just woke up from her nap and Mater was still there. We stopped and took pictures. He was beaming and asked me the entire ride home if he could look at the pictures on the camera which made me a bit nervous. I didnt want him to erase all the pictures.

I think whoever did this was spot on! I think it looks like a real Mater and so did Chamberlain.
Which also made the last part of our drive fly by. All he wanted to talk about was Mater and the movie.

these two

became quite good friends during our stay at grandmas.
They shared grandma and grandpa equally.
They shared cheerios, toys and anything else they found.

I think this is why Siri started walking so fast. Just so she could keep up with Lex.
We loved playing the whole week with them.
