My dad, aka Grandpa Lex is a gift giver. Growing up he would always surprise us with gifts. He has carried on his gift giving traditions with his grandchildren. The thing about my dads gifts is that they are quite random and unique. Every gift he gives has some kind of meaning or thought put into it. Whether they be, key chains with random animals, salt and chocolate covered sunflower seeds, skull spoon holder, a cougar earring box, or a big bucket of cheese balls, my family has grown to love and cherish these gifts.
So when Chamberlain called early Saturday morning to see if they had left K-town to come up north this weekend, the last thing Grandpa Lex mentioned was an "orange surprise" that he had for Chambs. From about 9:30 am on, Chamberlain and I had come up with all sorts of ideas for what an "orange surprise" could be.
Here is the "orange surprise"

Now, what possesses someone to buy an enormous bucket of cheese balls and give it to a 3 year old? When I asked my dad this question, his reply was simply this: "Well, when I saw this in the store I thought, Chamberlain would love this, and I had to get it for him." Grandpa Lex was right, Chamberlain loves it. And I think this will be a great bucket to put all his cars in once the cheesey mess is gone!
