From Alaska to Australia

I have a thing for old signage and advertisements.  I'm pretty sure I get this love from my mother.
Along Hwy 89 there are lots of small towns with old signs and advertisements that I keep telling myself one day I am going to pull over and get a picture of that, and now that I have kids of course I want them in the picture in front of the sign as well.

I bet this is how lots of families feel when the pass the Cave over and over again back and forth from SLC to PHX...

On Thursday Josh had to work in Panguitch (which if you ask Chamberlain it means Big Fish) and since it was his only stop for the day, and it was blistering hot in Hurricane, I decided to tag along with kids in tow. There are two actually awesome old advertisements on the side's of buildings on the main street that I again, have told myself over and over that I will get a picture of.  Thursday was that day although I only made it to one sign before the kids decided they had, had enough...

This sign is on the side of a Chiropractic building just before the 4 way stop, but I know that office has been several different things since I was in High School.  I'm pretty sure there is not a Sweet's Chocolate shop anywhere in Panguitch, well at least that I know about.
I do know that Sweet's is still a Utah candy company.  My favorite thing they make is Chocolate Covered Cinnamon Bears! And I'm pretty sure that all the Salt Water taffy that gets thrown at the Parades all summer long here in Utah is from Sweet's.

One vintage advertisement down, many more to go.
