family date night

We spent the later part of the afternoon/evening in SLC. We had a family date night and went to see the lights on Temple Square. So beautiful. I couldn't help but think about how pleased the Father is seeing all his children and their happy faces enjoying the peace and excitement that is felt there.  There is such an energy on Temple Square, especially at this time of year that I love, and keep wanting to go back for more.  It is so rewarding for me to see my children's eye's light up when they see the lights. I just love it.  It was a perfect night to go it was quite warm, well warm for winter standards.  Grabbed a bite to eat here. Josh was skeptical at first. We were starving and he wasn't interested in some boutique kind of foodie place he wanted a meal with large portions and taste. I don't think he was let down, with the chipotle pineapple brisket sammy and sweet potato fries, scattered with bites of Chamberlains BLT chicken sammy. I suggest you go there and try it yourself: your taste buds will love it. Oh what a night.
Family date nights are the best.
I had the Chicken noodle soup, of course it had a much more fancy name, that I don't quite remember, and is no longer on the menu. So Yum.
 Dessert.
 This baby never got cold!

Above is the spot where Josh purposed 6.5 years ago in that very spot he is sitting I was sitting, and where Siri is, he was kneeling and I said yes.  One of the best decisions of my life!  Look at those two beautiful little people I have to show for it. As well as that handsome man that: provides, loves, and makes life exciting.  Couldn't be happier.
We love to see the Temple.
