One of my many faults is having too many things on my plate.
Especially during the holiday seasons.
Or I guess you could say that I don't like the word No and I can't bring myself to say it.
I like to think there is time for everything and we can do it all, and at our pace, which is not true.
Thus why we missed carving a pumpkin for Halloween this year and sad to say last year as well.
Chamberlain begged and begged to carve a pumpkin this year and every night we planned it we had something else that we needed/wanted to do.
It also doesn't help that I like to carve pumpkins closer to Oct. 31st.
So when the Trick or Treating was over and November 1st rolled around Chamberlain at breakfast asked when are we going to carve pumpkins? I thought we'll today I guess.
I figured there is no law to when you can carve a pumpkin so why not Nov. 1st.
It helped that Josh was home sick.
So being the super dad that Joshua is, instead of taking a nap he thought; I could nap or carve pumpkins. Chamberlain will never remember me napping but he will remember the time we carved pumpkins. So they did just that.
Chamberlain requested a simple jack o lantern face.
We even put it on our porch and lit it for the night.
