my party

I always envisioned my 30th birthday with my sweetheart whisking me away to a warmer climate for a couple of days. Where we go to the spa, eat at local trendy restaurants, and most important, soak up the sun on the beach or at the pool at our trendy/hipster/boutique hotel.  With Josh in school full time and I still nursing Siri, my vision is just that, a vision.
Josh, however, didn't disappoint.
He planned a semi-surprise (semi because I made him tell me if people were coming to our house, I had a right to know so I could at least have it somewhat organized) party. He texted some of my family and friends and we celebrated with Chocolate Cake. Well at first it was a cake/dessert party and we had lots of people (well lots meaning it filled our tiny abode) and about 4  kids under the age of 4 all chatting it up and enjoying good company and tasty cakes and less not forget Graham Canyon and Coconut Joy Ice Cream from the creamery until... I rolled out Just Dance (which Chamberlain totally got me for my birthday).  I so recommend this game. It is so fun, especially if played in large groups. I pretty much laughed the entire night from then on. I dont know what it is about people dancing but it really makes me laugh.  I think my favorite part of the night was when Josh, Truett, Tanner and Zak battled it out to Kris Kross which happened to be the first CD that I ever owned and yes I got it like on my 9th (I believe) birthday. I have to admit it was the perfect 30th party for me. I spent it with the people I love (minus my besties sager, and Shelbie, who was throwing her son his first party which we could not attend due to class for Josh and a meeting with his CEO at work) the most and had a laid back chill and enjoy ourselves time. The kids got to run free throughout the house and we (as in adults) got to just talk and laugh and not worry about the kids so much since they were in and out of Chamberlains room, and once we turned on Just Dance they were front and center.  I loved it. I loved that I didnt have to worry about anything and just enjoy the company I was with.  I didnt have any worries I really didnt and enjoyed literally every minute of it. After it was all over and everyone had left around 11:30, cleaning up I seriously had the biggest grin.  My cup was full. I was so happy.

Thank you Josh for doing this for me, even though I insisted that I didnt need a party and I really didnt mind if we just hung out at home, Thanks.  It meant and means a lot. I love you. You know me.

Thank you to all that came, Whitney Kelly, and boys. Truett and Kelsi, Tanner and Zak, Karly and her date Blake, Jennie, Cody and Mr. G. I loved it. And a BIG THANKS to all that danced, You made my night. I felt/feel so loved.

However, that vision I had of my 30th I think is still good for my 31st...

Here are a few highlights of the night.

Way to start us off for the night Tanner and Kelly.
I told you the kids were front and center.
I just couldn't resist this picture of baby Jett he has such a handsome smile.

Whitney and Kelly, I think you have a dancer on your hands.
Isn't that a perfect like samba/salsa/flamenco pose(?).
LOVE it.

Second outfits of the night for the two boys oh yes they change one more time.
Dancing is sweaty work.
This is Zak on your left. I just have to say his mama raised him right.
He jumped right in and started dancing and didnt even put up a fight and second when the party was over and everyone had gone home but he and Tanner, he just started cleaning up without asking! Just started collecting cups and plates and went to work. Seriously to his mom THANK YOU. Thank you for raising such a gentlemen!
Kris Kross...some of them try to rhyme but they cant rhyme like this... believe that.
I loved it.
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you,
Love.
LOVE
YOU
Josh.

That does look perfect. I think it was a gift to you that Micah and I were NOT there... we can't dance. It's more painful than funny to see. And you'd probably have a hole in your floor.

Happy 30th dear friend!
