the way the wind blows

Did I mention last week was a little off?
We had a BYU utility vehicle tromp through our yard in the morning. No joke Josh and I are in our living room and hear a loud noise we look out the window and see this utility truck driving through our yard at lighting speed. I quickly ran out the front door to see what was up. All I see is the utility truck racing through the church parking lot across the street in hopes of not getting scene. Luckily there were a few men across the street doing construction and came over to tell us what they saw. We called the police and they are looking into it. In the meantime I am so sad.  Those students ran over our apple tree.  I was so looking forward to seeing the apple blossoms this spring and tasting more yummy apples in the fall.  However, on the other hand I am grateful that this happened in the winter.  We play a lot outside especially in the front where Chamberlain rides his bike up and down the street. I am also grateful that they missed the house, they were only feet away.  Siri was sitting on the ground in the living room where they easily would have entered if they hit the house. I am also grateful that Chamberlain was at pre-school when this happened. The students also barely missed hitting a girl walking to school as well. I am grateful for the police officer who spent the morning looking for the vehicle and talking to the boys (who are denying it although about 5 or 6 men including Josh and I saw what happened) supervisor and getting everything taken care of. I know the lord was watching over us and continues to watch over us. I know this is true.

You can see the tire tracks clearly in the snow. This is also to document that we didn't do it and should not be responsible for damages done, thank you landlords.
Such a beautiful cold day.
I wonder what in-store for this week?
