forts

Last Friday I went out for the evening alone and did some shopping here.
I haven't been out shopping by myself free of kids in sooo long. I can't remember a time.  It was nice. I found I was able to view each handmade item at the market at my pace and take in all the creativeness of these talented ladies (and a few men) that live here in Utah.

This is what I came home to.
Josh, Chamberlain and Siri building a fort with every blanket in the house.
I loved it.
As much as I loved having time to myself. I found that my heart was so much more full coming home and seeing this.
Imagination and adventure at its best.
Sometimes I forget how rewarding and enjoyable my job is. Its hard work and sometimes I feel like I'm getting nowhere (as in the things Im trying to teach them are sinking in or I feel like I do the same activities over and over again or Im not creative enough with them etc...). But its moments like these that are so worth it. I am grateful that I get a front row seat to watch these kids grow and learn. I am grateful that I get to be home with them daily. I am grateful that I have been in-trusted with these AWE-some spirits to care, and provide for.
I am so blessed.
