green toilet paper

Hudson kept me laughing all weekend with his funny sayings. He has quite the personality which reminds me so much of his sweet mother. One thing he said, still makes me laugh.

Saturday we headed up to the cave and had an Easter egg hunt. Thanks Tim for doing such a great job on hiding the eggs outside.  We were up there several hours and the boys played outside the entire time. Right now there is a river a trickle of water flowing through the culverts that run in front of the cave so they spent lots of time throwing rocks in the water.   When they were done I notice a bunch of plants growing. Plants that when I was younger my grandma told me it was what the Native Americans used as toilet paper. So I proceeded to tell them what these plants were used for and they got a huge kick out of it. Laughing about it for quite sometime. They even practiced using these special leaves. The funny part is when we were walking to the car they were both still talking about wiping their bum with leaves. When Hudson said "Ash, I don't wipe my bum with leaves. I wipe my bum with rocks!" In which he proceeded to pick up a nice sized rock and wipe his bum. It still makes me laugh because he was so proud when he said this. I wish that I wasn't laughing so hard that I could have snapped a picture.
I can only imagine what was going through their little minds at this point when I was telling them what this plant was/is used for.
Its hard to tell but they got some practice in with those leaves. Another side note; these boys are only 9 months apart! Chamberlain is a giant and Hudson is his little best friend.

What is it with boys and rock throwing?
