My dad had meetings in Midway last week and we decided to tag along and enjoy the scenery, I mean the pool. As always we invited Whit and the boys to come along.
I love Midway its such a quaint little town with amazing views of the backsides of the mountains.
We had the pool basically to ourselves and enjoyed nice weather.
For dinner we ventured into town to one of my favorite places to eat.
Their pizzas with the salad in the middle are the best.
It was all fun and games until around 8:30 PM (after Whit had taken the boys home) Siri started crying.
We thought she might be tired but that did not sit well with me since the cry was a hurt cry.
We made her a bottle and rocked her to sleep when I noticed she was not moving her left arm.
I made Josh check her arm to see if it was dislocated, and to his knowledge it was not.
We decided to go home and not stay the night.
When we got home she cried a little and went right to sleep.
Then came 1:00 AM. When she screamed a hurtful scream and we new something was wrong.
We watched her for about 30 minutes and took her to the ER.
While at the ER, they took x-rays and did the put the elbow back in the joint thing and tried and tried to get her to move her arm but she never did. Finally around 4:30 they brought out the big guns...COOKIES and tried to get her to grab them with her left arm. Again we tired this for 30 minutes with no such luck of movement.
So just before 5:00 AM they decided to cast it. She has to wear the cast for 7 days.
So there it is.
A bright pink cast ( was it sad to say that when they were wrapping it in the pink I wanted to say that pink would not do. I mean by this time in the morning it was Saturday and after all game day for the cougs. We needed blue. But I held my breath.) and no answer's to why or whats going on with her arm. Hopefully when we see the specialist we will get some answers.
For the first 5 or 6 days her arm just laid their as if it were dead. But on the 7th day she has been showing signs of improvement and holding her bottle and using it to defend herself when tickled.
