The Best Thing I Ever Ate

Josh and I finally checked something off our Food Network list.
Yes we have a Food Network list.
We love to watch the Food Network when we have time and we love to talk about and list all the places we will someday eat at (Josh may or may not have a man crush on Bobby Flay) .  The Queen Creek Olive Mill from the show The Best Thing I Ever Ate was something Wee watched on an episode years ago.   I committed it to memory, since I love olives, and its location is a few blocks away from my Grandparents out in the San Tan Valley.
We decided to dedicate Wednesday to visiting with the Grandparents and see their home about an hour away from where we were staying. By the time we got the kids ready for the day and in the car we realized while driving it would be lunch time.   My trusty memory (I should note my memory works best when it comes to food) immediately  recalled  this place where we could eat outside under the olive trees.
We met everyone there and we were not dissapointed.
Josh and I both ordered the Kalamata Sandwich which was the item ordered on the show,
The Best Thing I Ever Ate.
So good.
Come to find out the Olive Mill is a sustainable farm that produce's Arizona's only EVOO. You can buy just about every flavor of EVOO you can imagine at the Mill from Chocolate flavored to bacon and more.
I think everyone enjoyed their meal.
Bonus we Yelped it and because we did they gave us free drinks.
Josh and I are usually water people however they had this Prickly Pear Lemonade that I may now be addicted too!
If you are in the San Tan Valley this is where you should be eating lunch. You will not be disappointed.
There is a WARNING though if you are visiting during the winter months take note that you will be the youngest people there. The place was packed for lunch with hoards of senior citizens.
Just sayn...
 The Kalamata.
Notice the group on Seniors in the background.
Leapsters were our best friends the whole week when it came to boring places for the kids.
After we were done eating the kids could run around and not disturb anyone.
It was so nice to let them get their wiggles out and not worry about them destroying or breaking something.

After the senior lunch crowd had left they could run through the olive trees.
Siri got to hold baby Kent and she loved holding him. Every time we saw him the rest of the week she wanted to hold him or help him in some way.
Josh and Siri taking a stroll.
I think these were my favorite signs underneath every Olive tree.
Oh and of course Shelbie and I dress our kids in matching outfits. After all we were visiting the Grandparents and it was easy to spot them.
