the park

We live less than 30 miles from Zion and when my parents called Saturday afternoon and asked if we wanted to meet them in the park for some fun we hopped in the car and were there in no time. 

It was the first time Josh had been back to the park since youth conference in high school and the first time for our kids. 

We brought along a football, frisbee, a soccer ball and some snacks. 

Being on the front lawn of the lodge brought back so many memories of when I was a kids and when we went as a family and did the same thing on the same lawn.  

Soon it was dinner and we drove into Springdale and ate at our favorite place, Zion Pizza and Noodle Company followed up with a nice walk up and down the street of Springdale looking at all the neat little shops. Chamberlain has already asked if we could go back to that park and I think we will and hopefully often. 

I love living so close.
