birthday girl

Sage has a pretty cool birthday is you ask me.
Its a couple of days after the 4th of July and as long as I can remember there has always been a plethora of family, cousins and friends still around to celebrate her day. This year was no different.
Since she is getting older and too cool for actual parties (she did just turn 19) we had the nephews and niece help make and decorate her cake with Sage's favorite candy.  Because you are never to old for cake and ice cream it always seems to be the highlight of the evening. And it seems we always end up reminiscing of past birthday parties and what she was like. One birthday when she turned 7 my parents let me my sister Shelbie and a bunch of our college friends take her out in the hills for a bbq and who knows what else we did. I just remember on the way we were headed out to the sand dunes and out of nowhere this lady was running for her life, in fear that she would never see another human again. Her Ford Mustang (who takes a Mustang off roading...tourists) was stuck and her and her friend could not get it out.  They were from the midwest and didn't want to die in the hills of southern Utah. So we called Ramsays to come help these poor sweet ladies, we waited till Luke showed up and off we went to celebrate Sage's day out in the sand dunes.
We always have a good time on her birthday and this year was no different.

Chamberlain and Hudson were really into decorating the cake and put all kinds of things on the cake.
Siri and Lex however, they were more into taste testing the candies.

Happy Birthday Sage.
